In SHALL I COMPARE THEE TO A RED RED ROSE, the choir explores settings of Shakespeare, in this his 400th anniversary year, together will three settings of Robbie Burns, including James MacMillan's magical SO DEEP - My Love Is Like A Red Red Rose.

Andante CHAMBER CHOIR was formed in 2007 by John Stone, who was Head of Music and Drama at Flint High School and Musical Director of Flint Male Voice Choir. His new choir tackles the ever widening a-cappella repertoire – choral music without accompaniment - singing everything from plainsong and polyphony to pop. Choir members hail from all corners of Berwickshire as well as further afield in the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland.
Andante is a thirty-two voice choir, plus a poet, an actor, guest singers and apprentices and has an extremely wide repertoire. The choir has sung world premieres of commissions by Grayston Ives (Kings’ Singers), Michael Nyman, Goldie and Sean Doherty and has performed in a variety of venues, including St Giles’ Cathedral Edinburgh, Dunfermline Abbey, Glasgow Cathedral, the abbeys in Kelso, Jedburgh, Melrose, Dryburgh and in Brinkburn Priory.
Andante is delighted to help the Advocacy for Neuroacanthocytosis (NA) Patients by singing in St Asaph. Neuroacanthocytosis is an extremely rare disease and NA Advocacy is dedicated to support patients and to develop research aimed at the alleviation of the disease.
