Why don't my log-in details work?

All your passwords are anonymised, so that even we can't read them. This meant that when we launched the new website, we couldn't bring your passwords with us, so the first time you log in you'll need to re-set your password. Once that's done, you'll have access to all your old groups, memberships and resources.

How do I reset my password?

Go to www.makingmusic.org.uk/user/password, enter your email address and we will send you a link to reset your password and log in.

How do I register?

Go to www.makingmusic.org.uk/user/register and follow the instructions to register on the Making Music website. Once registered, if your group is a member group, you can link yourself to it to gain access to our exclusive members-only content and resources. 

Why am I blocked from accessing some pages?

Some resources and tools (like discounts, advice and the sheet music exchange) are only available to Making Music members. You need to be linked to a member group in order to access this content.

How do I link myself to a member group?

When you are logged in, you can ask to be linked to a member group on this page. Simply type in the name of the group and click 'Submit'. The group's admins will then be able to confirm that you are a member and you will be able to access the group's content and members-only resources.

Where have the information sheets gone?

After consultation with members, we have turned the information sheets into web pages. This allows us to categorise them by topic and theme alongside other useful resources (like discounts, case studies and tools) so that whatever problem you need to solve, you can find lots of useful things.

How do I print or download guidance as a PDF?

To download or print a page (e.g. a guidance note) simply click the 'Download this page as a PDF' or 'Print this page' button on the right hand side of the relevant page.

How do I post my group's events?

To list your group's events go to your Dashboard, and click 'Add an event' in the block for the relevant group. You can also edit events previously listed by members of your group here.

How do I list vacancies in our group?

To list your group's vacancies go to your Dashboard, and click 'Add a vacancy' in the block for the relevant group. You can also edit vacancies previously listed by members of your group here.
