Returning from 6–9 August 2025, the Elmore Festival presents four days of exceptional
performances in the intimate setting of St John the Baptist Church - a beautifully preserved 13th-
century landmark nestled in rural Gloucestershire. Now in its sixth year, the festival has quietly
become a summer highlight, seamlessly blending world-class chamber music with the warmth of
a community-driven event.
This year’s lineup features the multi-award-winning Novo Quartet, violinist Braimah Kanneh-
Mason, the Elmore Quartet, pianist Ben Powell, double bassist Toby Hughes, organist Henry
Fairs, clarinettist James Gilbert, and the Scottie Thompson Jazz Trio - whose sold-out
appearance last year confirmed the festival’s growing popularity and eclectic spirit. True to its
roots, Elmore champions young musicians through workshops, masterclasses, and performance
opportunities for local students.
Between concerts, audiences can unwind at the Festival Bar,
serving local ales and ciders in partnership with Gloucester’s Pelican Inn and Wye Valley Brewery.
With its thoughtful programming, historic charm, and welcoming atmosphere, the Elmore Festival
offers an enriching musical escape - small in scale, but rich in artistry.
