"Feel the Spirit" - An Evening of Vibrant Rhythm and Melody".
At the heart of this concert, filled with vibrant rhythmic energy, is John Rutter’s Feel the Spirit which draws on the colourful tradition of the American spiritual. We are thrilled to have as our mezzo-soprano soloist Melanie Marshall, for whom John Rutter wrote this inspired work. Also from ‘across the pond’ and infused with jazz is the medley from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, the programme completed by Bob Chilcott’s ever-popular Little Jazz Mass.
