Our Musical Director, Benjamin Kirk, and our programming group have produced a mesmerising programme of a cappella music, telling the complex story of powerful human emotions. We will perform several works by William Byrd, as we continue to mark the 400th anniversary of his death with some of his most sublime music. By popular demand, we include pieces by female composers Clara Schumann and Mélanie Bonis. And we’ll introduce you to some rarely-sung works by Thomas Tomkins and Pavel Chesnokov. There’s a lot to look forward to!
