Leicester Bach Choir's Come & Sing days are popular in the Midlands and beyond. Many people return year on year to enjoy the music and reconnect with this community of singers. They are also good opportunities for people who are thinking about joining a choir to give it a go. And provide an even better opportunity for people who are thinking of joining LBC to give us a whirl.
The day is led with wit, verve and intelligence by Conductor Richard Laing, who tells you illuminating stories about the music as well teaching you the notes. Singers from the Leicester Bach Choir take part to support less confident singers. The day is brilliantly accompanied by virtuoso solo pianist Anita D'Attellis, and professional Tenor Charne Rochford provides the solos while singers take a rest.
The English Martyrs' school is easy to find on the edge of Leicester, conveniently near the M1, and offers free parking. Tea, coffee and juice are free throughout the day, and home-made cakes [vegan, gluten-free and usual] are available to purchase. Please bring your own lunch.
Do encourage friends and relatives to join us at the end of the afternoon to listen to the performance - only £5 - which is always astonishingly good after just a day's rehearsal.
