St Albans Symphony Orchestra (SASO) will return to St Albans Cathedral for the traditional New Year Celebration concert on Monday January 1st 2024.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for a 7 p.m. start. There will be a 20-minute interval.
SASO will be led by their new Principal Conductor & Artistic Director Bill Carslake.
We will perform a packed programme including traditional joyful waltzes, polkas and Hungarian dances. We will also play Shostakovich’s Jazz Suite No. 2, which is no less exuberant, and features an extended orchestra, with saxophones, accordion, guitar, piano, harp, xylophone, and glockenspiel.
