Making Music Platform has a feature called Positions for identifying the members of your group who are involved in running the group.
Positions can be assigned to individuals in your group. When a person steps down from the role, that Position can be reassigned to the new Position holder. This means that your Platform will automatically update any contact details associated with the previous position holder, making for a smooth changeover.
You can also associate certain tasks on your Making Music Platform with a Position. For example if you have a member who is always responsible for managing group donations, you can create a Position called ‘Donations Officer’ and assign all donation notification emails to them.
You can create new Positions from your Officers page (which could also be called the Management Team page). To create a new Position:
Log into your Making Music Platform as an administrator.
Go to your Officers or Management Team page.
Click the link at the top of the page which says ‘Create new: Position’.
Enter the details of the Position into the page: its name, the type of Position it is, the official email address (if any) that should be created for the Position, whether the Position is visible to members or the public etc.
Click Save at the bottom of the page.
