Cold Ash Brass

Cold Ash Brass is based in the village of Cold Ash, just North of Newbury and Thatcham in Berkshire and just 2 miles from Junction 13 of the M4.

We are a friendly brass band, recently promoted to the 2nd section, with a varied concert and contest schedule.
We rehearse every week on Thursdays at 7:30-9:30pm at St Mark's School, Cold Ash.

Our quintet is also available to perform at smaller functions, weddings and anywhere else!

Our current musical director, Jemma Johnstone, joined us in 2012. Under her leadership we won our first contest in 2014 at SCABA Autumn Contest. Our next venture saw us placing second at the L&SC regional contest meaning another place in the national final. Our hard work has come to fruition in 2017 when we were promoted to the second section!

We look forward to the new challenges facing us in 2018 and to continually improving and growing as both a band and an organisation.
