East Midlands Jazz CIC (EMJAZZ)

mjazz is the leading regional development agency for jazz in the Midlands and an Arts Council England NPO.
mjazz has a successful track record for delivering high quality jazz experiences around the region and beyond. It is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, (EMJAZZ CIC) involving jazz partners around the Midlands. It has grown through many years of working together to promote and develop jazz performances, training, education, projects and workshops.
Following many years operating successfully as EMJAZZ (East Midlands Jazz), mjazz is developing initiatives of become a jazz development agency for the Midlands. It is a voluntary-led organisation, founded and chaired by renowned jazz promoter Geoff Wright, also founder and Chair of Derby Jazz. Directors are drawn from each of the 5 key Jazz organisations in the East Midlands (Derby Jazz, Leicester Jazz House, Linconshire Jazz Pac, Northampton Contemporary Jazz and Nottingham Jazz Steps) are joined by several independent directors to come together as a Board of Directors to expand and explore opportunities to deliver the very highest quality experience in jazz to audience, musicians and participants learning in schools and community settings.
Direct and extended partnerships include museums, libraries and Music Education Hubs. mjazz supports activity across a large number of venues, currently expanding from 22 to 30 every year.
