Remember That Song

Remember that Song is a group for people in the early to moderate stages of dementia and their carers. We meet weekly in term-time to make music together, singing a range of well-known songs and learning new ones in a friendly, relaxed and informal setting.

The aims of the group are to

• Increase communication
• Provide a social network around the activity of singing
• Be positive about dementia and supportive of those who take part

Our musical activities are led by trained musicians who have gained valuable experience through Alzheimer Society’s ‘Singing for the Brain®’project. Volunteers are on hand to assist with the singing, organise the refreshments and help to look after members of the group.
