The Rodillian Singers

The Rodillian Singers are a female voice choir based in the Wakefield area and we just love to sing! The choir has over 50 members, so when we all get together we can fill even a large cathedral with a beautiful sound. We pride ourselves on having a varied repertoire ranging from John Rutter to Billy Joel, with gospel, sacred music and pieces from the musicals as well as many other genres. This range and challenge is inspired by our enthusiastic and extremely talented Musical Director: Becky Whitlam. We regularly take part in festivals in the North of England where we have enjoyed considerable success, consistently over the years. In 2019, we participated in the fantastic Isle of Man festival of choirs, where we won one class and came 2nd in another. In addition, we host regular concerts, often with guest singers or musicians, promoting live music locally. The choir aims to contribute positively to the community and we have used our talents to help charities and local projects, raising thousands of pounds over the years. We are a friendly group of women, from all walks of life who primarily came together through a love of singing, but along the way have also found friendship within the choir.
