Sherborne Community Orchestra

The Sherborne Community Orchestra was founded in 1997 as a rehearsal orchestra for amateur musicians from Sherborne, Dorset, and the surrounding areas.

It meets four times a year, the fourth session including an informal public concert.

The orchestra is around fifty strong, with a professional conductor and leader.
Concerto soloists are often taken from members of the orchestra.

New members are always welcome, especially string and percussion players.
As a guide, players should have reached Associated Board grade V or above.
