Symphonic Wind Orchestra of North London

We are a vibrant and welcoming community wind orchestra located in East Finchley, dedicated to creating a warm and engaging musical experience. With a passion for music, we showcase our talents through at least three concerts annually in North London. Additionally, we take our performances to Bandstands across London and embark on exhilarating tours throughout the UK and beyond. Our repertoire is diverse and captivating, spanning classical, musical theatre, folk, opera, modern, and pop genres. This ensures an enriching musical journey for both our performers and audiences alike.

Our rehearsals are held at Martin Primary School in East Finchley on Wednesday evenings from 8 to 10 pm during term time. During the break we also provide tea and cake.

We aim to be an inclusive wind orchestra. We welcome members of all skill levels, with no minimum standard requirements. We believe that auditions should not be a barrier to participation, as such, there are no auditions to be a member. In fact, many of our members join us after taking a break from playing their instruments, making our community a great place to rekindle your musical passion.
