Description of vacancy:

Job Purpose

The Choir manager’s role is to oversee and support the safe and inclusive running of our weekly rehearsals and around 6 gigs a year in Brighton.  Rehearsals currently run on a Monday evening each week, and we rely heavily on the support of our wonderful volunteers.  You will need to oversee a volunteer rota and liaise with choir members to ensure that they are aware of timings and plans each week.  You will attend rehearsals and support our members where necessary, sometimes signposting them to specialist services and also supporting them if they are going through crisis or just going through a difficult time.  You will therefore need to be aware of safeguarding procedure and follow accordingly.  You will keep careful records of outcomes so they can be shared with our funders and you will liaise with local partners, venue managers, and work closely with our choir director at Brighton.  Choir with No Name is committed to developing co-produced practices so that we are working with our members not just for them.  It’s a varied and interesting role for someone that can work in a challenging but rewarding setting.
