Accompanist

Hertford Choral Society wishes to recruit an accompanist from January 2026 as the current post-holder is taking the next steps in their career.

We are a vibrant, friendly community choir of around 100 members, regularly performing four concerts each season, usually at All Saints, Hertford, with professional soloists and musicians. Our programmes include a wide range of music from renaissance to contemporary, both sacred and secular, created and led by Musical Director, Manvinder Rattan. We are looking for a high-quality, professional accompanist for our rehearsals to provide support to both choir and conductor, and to become a member of the HCS team.  We rehearse weekly on Tuesday evenings at Sele School, Hertford, and usually have a Saturday workshop once in the season. There is the possibility of playing in the concerts on invitation, for which a separate fee is payable.
