NYCOS occupies a unique place in Scotland’s cultural landscape as a charity providing a national infrastructure for young people and music leaders to develop their singing. Founded in 1996, and directed by founding Artistic Director Christopher Bell, we are committed to supporting children and young people to realise their vocal and musical potential and provide opportunities for young people, teachers and choir directors to support and develop choral singing across Scotland.

We consist of seven National Choirs, including the internationally-renowned National Youth Choir of Scotland, a network of fourteen Regional Choirs across the country and a considerable Creative Learning programme that engages in a wide range of activity and training for children, young people and adults.

NYCOS is looking to appoint a dynamic and energetic individual to the role of Trusts & Foundations Manager. Working closely with the with CEO and Alumni & Individual Giving Manager, this is a central new role within NYCOS to develop and implement the trusts and foundations strategy to generate maximum income from grant-giving organisations. NYCOS currently raises c.£230,000 annually from Trusts and Foundations, and sees potential to increase income further over the coming years.

You will be an excellent and inventive communicator who can create compelling arguments for funders, based on the work that we do. You will want to make an impact on the lives of children and young people and will be an inventive researcher of new opportunities to do so. You will be exceptionally well-organised and passionate about your work. You may have experience in fundraising but you could be just as likely transferring your skills from another sector.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
