Important note: the group no longer performs G & S operettas, it performs concerts under a different name, "Singers of Note".
“Singers of Note” is a four-part harmony mixed vocal group based in Peterborough currently looking to recruit new members; particularly sopranos, tenors and basses. We are a friendly and welcoming team, primarily performing fund-raising concerts for churches and other worthy causes. The repertoire is wide-ranging and we enjoy the reputation for high standards.
Our performances are off book which allows us to concentrate on performing and engaging with the audience. For those who enjoy the limelight there are opportunities for featured numbers (solo / duet / small ensemble work) within our programme. The ability to read music is an advantage but not a necessity.
The learning takes place primarily at home and rehearsals for 2024 will be held from February to April on Sunday afternoons between 2 pm and 4.30pm. The concert season commences from the beginning of May.
