Big Summer Wind Orchestra & Choir's Make Music Day 2025 event

Join the Big Summer Wind Orchestra & Choir this 21 June for an epic Make Music Day performance in central London.

Make Music Day is an annual celebration of music that’s held each year on 21 June in over 2,000 cities across the world. It’s open to anyone that wants to take part – whether professional or hobbyist, young or old and regardless of genre type.

We’re delighted to announce that we will be teaming up again with The Big Summer Wind Orchestra & Choir (BSWO&C) and invite you to join 100s of other musicians in an epic outdoor performance. This year the performance will take place in Regents Park, London on Saturday 21 June, from 11:30am to 2pm.

Everyone is welcome to join and play any wind orchestra instrument or sing. You can expect to perform a wide range of music including well-known favourites, pop, folk, opera songs and classical arrangements. Sheet music will be provided for free to all performers.

Share it with your members, friends and family – encourage them to perform or come and enjoy the free concert.

Adam Funnell, Event Coordinator of the BSWO&C, said:

‘This is our third huge performance on Make Music Day, and every year is bigger and better! Hundreds of musicians will come together in our band and choir and make glorious music together, from opera choruses to musical theatre and pop favourites. Hopefully we'll also inspire people into music making all year round, using Making Music's resources to find groups for everyone. Sign up to perform with us or just come to listen and sing along.’
