Fareham Philharmonic Choir

Fareham Philharmonic Choir are a lively and friendly group of around 75 singers who love singing classical choral music, with the occasional foray into modern works of different styles. Founded in 1898, our choir has a long history of fostering the enjoyment and knowledge of classical music. It’s a tribute to our founding vision that the choir has flourished until the present day and looks forward to a bright future of music making.

Our Musical Director is Andrew Cleary, a well-known musician and choral specialist with unbounded enthusiasm. We always aspire to a high standard of singing and enjoy a challenge; Andrew helps us both to develop our singing technique and to widen our repertoire and horizons.

FPC presents three concerts a year alongside local musicians and soloists. In Spring and Autumn, our major concerts tackle larger works from a range of composers. Our Christmas concert in December brings communal carols and the joy of Christmas anthems to Fareham. We also have the FPC Chorale, a smaller event choir, which is available for hire to bring music to your event or gathering.

We are always welcoming new members to our midst, through regular open nights and occasional Come & Sing days.
