All of us at Lower Machen Music are looking forward eagerly to the coming of Midsummer on June 24th when we mark the First Anniversary of our re-launch as Lower Machen Music. There is a special magic in the air at that season in the glorious grounds of St.Michael and All Angels - the perfect atmosphere for the enjoyment of music.

This Midsummer was have both pleasure and privilege in welcoming Catrin Finch to Lower Machen Music. Seeing her on television in Cardiff Bay before the Coronation Concert was an amazing reminder that nearly 25 years have now passed since her appointment as the first Royal Harpist following Queen Victoria's reign! Catrin has been the world's leading 21st century harpist establishing her unique boundary-breaking career on all continents.

Her heart and soul remain firmly in Wales however and her varied programme for us is sure to reflect this fact alongside an attractive blend of music to reflect her wide-ranging interests and kaleidoscopic musical journey through life.
