Education and learning
The Music in the Community grants programme is administered by Music for All, which is the charity of the UK musical instrument industry, and is also supported by the NAMM Foundation in the US and endorsed by a number of musical celebrities.
Funding is available for general charitable purposes. Previously the Trust has supported a wide range of different local, national and international causes, including charities working for human medical research, the relief of suffering and respite, and religious and heritage charities.
Sir Michael Tippett established the Foundation in 1979 to encourage the music of the future with funds from the sale of his manuscripts to the British Library.
Grant funding to help individuals (over school age) and groups of exceptional ability in the UK that would not otherwise be able to carry out an artistic project or activity without financial support.
Funding is available to charities and charitable organisations for projects that promote urban and rural regeneration, with a preference for the Yorkshire region.
