Young people

The Gordon Fraser Charitable Trust offers grants to registered charities active in Great Britain.

The funding is intended to support projects relating to young people, people with disabilities, the environment and the arts. Applications may be submitted at any time and will be considered quarterly in January, April, July and October.

Eligible organisations must be charities registered with one of the following:

Grants for projects in all sectors of the local community. Each foundation has its own character appropriate to the location and grants may be made to a wide range of activities including: health; children and young people; arts and culture; the environment; services.

Grants are available to UK registered charities for a range of charitable projects, particularly the relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage; and for the advancement of education, the advancement of the arts, culture, and heritage.

This small trust supports charities working in Scotland and overseas – focusing on children and young people, community arts, social justice, international development, health and wellbeing and community outreach programmes.

The Trust will consider applications for grants from charities registered in the United Kingdom, with preference being given to charitable organisations operating from Scotland and with an annual income of less that £500,000. 
 

The Trust can support a wide range of charitable projects. Preference given to causes within Perth & Kinross with emphasis on the sphere of education, music and the arts. There is a preference to fund start up projects or improvements to projects.

The maximum amount is normally £5,000.

Grants are given to a wide variety of organisations (generally in Scotland, particularly Tayside) including cancer research and other medical charities, youth organisations and arts and music.

Funding is intended to support general charitable purposes. In the past grants have ranged from £250 to £1,000. Charitable organisations in the UK are eligible to apply.

Funding is available for general charitable purposes. Previously the Trust has supported a wide range of different local, national and international causes, including charities working for human medical research, the relief of suffering and respite, and religious and heritage charities.

The G F Eyre Charitable Trust does not maintain a website or an email address. Groups should write to the Trust for further information on how to apply.

Funding is at the discretion of the Trustees. Previous grants have been for between £500 and £4,000.

The Bowland Charitable Trust offers grants to charitable organisations active in the UK.

The programme is intended to promote:

Outdoor and character-building projects for young people in the North West England.

Educational, religious and cultural activities and institutions.

Grants available to UK charities with particular favour given to Wales for projects in the arts, health and young people.

The charity funds a variety of purposes with special consideration to the arts, health and young people.  In previous years grants have been given, for example, to North Powys Youth Orchestra.  

Grants are available up to £28,000 mainly on a one-off basis.
