Making Music is hosting this free information and advice event so you can come together with other local music groups and get to grips with all aspects of copyright and performing rights, rather than wrestling with it on your own.
Before we open up the discussion, we’ll hear from Nicola Dillon of PRS for Music on some of the common issues and queries our members face when declaring their PRS information.
We’ll talk about:
- The definition of copyright
- When a PRS fee is payable
- How to find out if your venue has a PRS licence
- The different types of licence and what they cover
- How to make your payment
- Anything else that arises on the topic!
This session is open to anyone from an amateur music group with a general interest in copyright and performing rights.
More reasons to come:
- Mingle with other music makers over a refreshment
- A session highlighting the newly revised MM Rep role and how to make the most of Making Music’s services
- Meet your local Making Music team and ask questions
Cost: FREE for members and non-members
