Fancy trying out singing in a choir? Chesterfield Philharmonic Choir has approximately 80 members and we meet every Thursday evening from 7.15 - 9.30pm (with the all important coffee and chat interval) at Ashgate Croft School, Ashgate Road, Chesterifeld. This is a school for children with physical and learning difficulties and is therefore particularly suitable to people with mobility problems and wheelchair users. We are a very friendly and welcoming choir and enjoy singing in the choir. In September every year we hold an open rehearsal evening for people to come along and give us a try, without any obligation to join. We wil be rehearsing music from our forthcoming concert, both music by Faure, The Cantique de Jean Racine and the Requiem, both very well known pieces of music. You will be met at the door and taken to join others, if you know which voice part you sing. If not sure you can always try one section and if too high or too low for you you can change, no problem.
