This Making Music Annual General Meeting will look back at the calendar year 2024 with Chair and Treasurer talking talk through the 2024 Annual report and accounts.
The results of Board elections will also be announced and as ever there will be a chance to ask questions on any other matters you would like to bring.
2025 is the 90th anniversary of the founding of The National Federation of Music Societies and at this AGM, we'll be marking the occasion with a look back at the history of the association and its role in the musical heritage of the UK. From 300 members at the first conference in 1935, to around 4,000 members today, what does our journey tell us about how leisure time music making has changed over almost a century? We'll talk about key events that changed the environment for music groups and consider what the next ten years - and the next hundred - might look like for our members. (Speakers to be confirmed)
