Join the Canterbury Symphony Orchestra for an evening of vibrant and expressive music, featuring two Romantic masterpieces. The concert opens with Weber’s First Clarinet Concerto performed by a gifted young clarinettist, Krish Parthiban brings exceptional musicality and flair to this dazzling showcase of the instrument.
The programme concludes with Mahler’s radiant Fourth Symphony. Lighter in spirit than many of his other works, it explores themes of innocence and wonder, building towards a serene and haunting finale with soprano solo. Full of charm, colour and lyrical beauty, it is one of Mahler’s most loved works.
Under the direction of Music Director Joe Davies, the CSO continues its mission to present exciting performances and champion emerging talent. This promises to be a memorable evening for classical music lovers of all ages.
