John Rutter REQUIEM and short popular classics

Rutter’s ‘life-affirming’ and ‘widely acclaimed’ Requiem, with its ‘rich and tender lyricism’ will be on your doorstep in this ‘idyllic hill-top setting’ in rural Wales.

Relax into this evening’s musical bonanza during the first half of the concert. There will be tenor and soprano vocal solos together with some of the best- loved short pieces of music around: Karl Jenkins ‘Benedictus’; John Tavener ‘The Lamb’; Morten Lauridsen ‘O Nata Lux’; Stanford ‘The Blue Bird’, Byrd ‘Ave Verum Corpus’, and an arrangement of ‘Yemba Ale, Aleluya’ by Imogen Evans.
