The Merlin Ensemble Vienna was formed in 1991 by principal players of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, with the aim of performing chamber music works at the highest level, in various formations as well as music/drama projects. They have appeared at great music festivals such as Salzburg, Lucerne and Bonn, and at prestigious venues around Europe and in the US.
The Ensemble has made recordings of Stravinsky’s Soldier’s Tale and Oliver Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time.
