The Darlington Orchestra Summer Concert 2018 is on Saturday 7th July 7.30pm in Central Hall at the Dolphin Centre.
Darlington Orchestra’s concerts are informal and accessible and always present an eclectic selection of classical music. This time the pieces range from Beethoven to Burt Bacharach, and from lively Hungarian folk tunes to a summery Gershwin medley.
The special guest performers will be lively community choir ‘noaddedsugar’. They will perform a wide range of music including Gospel, a John Rutter anthem and pieces by Burt Bacharach and Elton John.
A printed programme with background details about all the pieces being performed is available free of charge to the audience; plus there is a version written specially for children in the audience aged five to 11 years.
