Durufle Requiem and Five Mystical Songs, Vaughan Williams

<p>Lincoln Choral Society present Durufle&#39;s Requiem and Vaughan Williams&#39; Five Mystical songs.&nbsp; The requiem blends Gregorian chants with French Impressionist harmonies, accompanied by the wonderful Father Willis organ in Lincoln Cathedral, a fabulous setting.&nbsp;</p><p>The work explores humanities struggle with the mysteries of death,&nbsp; contrasting moments of stillness and agitation in the lead up to ultimate rest and light, rather than focusing on the terrifying Day of Judgement.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
