A programme featuring secular and sacred works from 3 of the great 19th century Italian composers - Verdi, Puccini and Rossini. The concert will feature well-loved pieces from opera and church. The choir will also perform one of the pieces from 'Sing to Me, Windchimes' by Owain Park, the work which the choir commissioned in 2017.
The tuneful and inspiring programme includes Rossini's Stabat Mater; 2 short Verdi religious pieces - Pater Noster and Ave Maria; and Easter Hymn from Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni. Puccini brings an operatic touch to the concert.
We will be joined by four accomplished and up-and-coming soloists: Samantha Crawford (Soprano); Hannah Bennett (Contralto); Ronan Busfield (Tenor) and James Oldfield (Bass-Baritone). You may recall that Ronan Busfield was a semi-finalist in Britain’s Got Talent, 2018.
Conductor Allan Smith, with David Parker (piano) and Barry Whitfield (organ) will lead the singers in a glorious evening of music in the setting of St James' Church, Louth.
Tickets are available on-line, or from Eve and Ranshaw, 1 Market Place, Louth, LN11 9NT
