This is a unique opportunity to hear this major work in its final rehearsal by 7 choirs, 2 orchestras and 3 soloists. You can stay for as long or short a time as you wish, and move around the cathedral to listen to different effects. The rehearsal is planned to last from 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm. Whether you are a singer or play an orchestral instrument, this is a chance to see how a huge work in the repertoire is put together.
You will need to complete a 'Dress Rehearsal Form' (see Link for tickets), so that you will not be charged the usual Cathedral entrance fee.
From the website: 'As part of our outreach and accessibility for this concert, we would like to invited any child (along with their family) who attends any school in Greater Lincolnshire to attend (all or) part of the dress rehearsal of War Requiem. It will run from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday, 3rd November 2018. So you can attend without paying the Cathedral's admission charge, we need you to register so we can keep a list for those who have come to the Cathedral in order to attend the rehearsal.'
