For the first time, NYCOS is offering a series of conducting classes tailored to suit the needs of people working at different levels led by Artistic Director Christopher Bell.
Christopher has been conducting choirs, instrumental ensembles, and orchestras since he was 15 years old. He has a wealth of experience to share and has run conducting classes at NYCOS Kodály Summer School. For many years he has mentored conductors either as Fellows at the RSNO Chorus, or Student Assistant conductors working with NYCOS National Choirs.
Introduction to Conducting is for people with little or no experience but finding themselves being asked to conduct or direct in a school or community setting. Using set scores, Levels 1-3 takes participants on from this introductory level to advanced works.
