Come & Sing! Elgar: Dream of Gerontius - one day workshop

Calling all singers! Why not join Worcester Festival Choral Society and friends for our exhilarating 'Come and Sing' day on Saturday 1st April 2017 - and experience Sir Edward Elgar's choral classic, The Dream of Gerontius.

This exciting, one-day choral workshop will take place in The King’s School's historic College Hall, located in College Green, behind Worcester Cathedral.

The workshop offers amateur singers of all kinds the chance to rehearse and informally perform one of the great, classical choral works in just one day, under the superb, enjoyable musical direction of Assistant Director of Music at Worcester Cathedral - and Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Elgar School of Music - Christopher Allsop. Accompanying us will be Worcester Cathedral's accomplished organ scholar, Richard Cook.

Registration will be from 9:30am, with the day concluding at around 5:00pm.

You don't have to have choral experience, but it helps if you can read music.

Music scores, and free tea and coffee, are provided within the ticket price of £20 (full time students £10). You can even pre-order a delicious, home-made packed lunch when you book!

Pre-booked tickets only. Downloadable a postable booking form, or buy tickets online, from the Worcester Festival Choral Society website.
