Haydn: The Creation

Come and hear York Musical Society perform Haydn’s The Creation - one of the most joyful and life-affirming choral works ever written - in the beautiful setting of York Minster. The choir will be joined by York Musical Society Orchestra and soloists Alexandra Kidgell, Nathan Vale and Thomas Humphreys.

Enjoy the musical drama of moments such as “Let there be light!”, “God created great whales” and “The heavens are telling the glory of God”, among many others.

There is also an opportunity to hear YMS rehearse in preparation for the concert, as part of the York Festival of Ideas, on Monday 3rd June – see yorkfestivalofideas.com for details.
