The Farnborough Concert Band of the Royal British Legion

The Farnborough Concert Band of the Royal British Legion was formed in 1987 and is an licenced Band of the Royal British Legion but the band is run independently of that organisation and has its own Constitution. It is a voluntary community band and consists of over 30 enthusiastic musicians from all walks of life who enjoying performing and entertaining and carry out many events during the year.
The band performs at a wide variety of engagements throughout the year including traditional bandstands, concerts, charity events, remembrance parades and tours abroad. The Band raises funds on behalf of the annual Poppy Appeal and supports local charities.
The Band rehearses in Frimley in Surrey on Tuesday evenings, from 8pm to 10pm and, during Covid, we rehearsed via Zoom instead! Such was the enthusiasm of the Band that, as soon as we were able to play again, the Chair and Secretary checked how many musicians could return to play in the Rehearsal Hall with the means of a measuring stick! We are always on the look out for new members (especially trombone, euph and percussion!) and so if you live in the Farnborough area and play to a good standard, please contact us via: secretary@farnboroughconcertband.org
