Information and advice

Open Day for Volunteers

The charity cannot go on much longer without volunteer help.  We are seeking a number of supporters with a range of skills.  There are tasks for everyone:  some are one off, others require commitment at festival time only, and some are year round obligations.  The most important thing is that anyone who is interested enjoys their role, and is happy to be involved.

Open Day for Amateur Groups

With the return to live performance we want to give groups the opportunities to share news of their organisation to any member of the public who might be intereted.

Especially for those who may have taken up a new hobby during lockdown but are unsure how to meet up wtih others to share their interest.

If you are unable to attend in person, we would be happy to display any literature or membership forms on your behalf.

Join us this autumn to sing Bach & Mozart

Join us this autumn to sing Bach & Mozart, culminating in our concert on 7th December.  The Purbeck Arts Choir is delighted to welcome David Fawcett as our new Musical Director.  We are a friendly non-auditioned choir, presently numbering around 60 singers in all voice parts (SATB).  For his first concert with us David has chosen music by two of the greatest composers of choral music – Bach and Mozart, reflecting his intention that the choral greats of the last four centuries should form the backbone of our repertoire.

Either professional musicians and students will have the chance of performing in front of the audience on a beautiful Steinway & Sons piano. The whole event will be fully recorded, so the participants will have their own performance(s) recorded professionally to save as a portfolio.
