SOLO CORNET

An exciting but rare opportunity has arisen to join Kent's leading and most anticipated Brass Band. Due to work relocation, we offer you the opportunity to join the band's front row cornet section, position negotiable. Betteshanger is a hard-working band but knows how to socialise as well. We have a good balance between concerts and contests and have enjoyed a good run of contest successes in the last couple of years, having previously taken a break from contesting for almost a decade. Starting back at entry level, the band won the 4th Section Champions Title in 2024 at the London & Southern Counties Regional contest in Stevenage. The Band received promotion to the 3rd Section and an invitation to the National Finals of Great Britain where it was crowned 4th Section Champions, all this in just one year! We certainly got the buzz, and players were all fired up for a repeat performance in 2025. Our debut performance in the 3rd Section didn’t quite achieve the promotion we all yearned for, however, taking the 3rd Section Title was another win under our belt. This, coupled with a further invitation to the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain in September, has given us another chance to achieve the promotion we all want.
