Description of vacancy:
The Esterhazy Chamber Choir is looking for a new MD to start in September 2019. Based in Lewes, we are an auditioned SATB chamber choir with around 35 members performing classical works (predominantly a cappella) from 16th - 21st centuries. We are looking for an MD with vocal training and orchestral experience as well as an emphasis on musicality and expression. Please note that we do not have a rehearsal accompanist and so the MD would need to be able to run rehehearals without one. We usually hold 3 concerts a year and rehearsals are held in Lewes on Wednesday evenings during term time (7.30-9.30). The application deadline is 21st June with auditions to be held in Lewes on 26th June and 3rd July.
