The Chantry Singers is a chamber choir of around 30 mixed voices, which performs a highly varied repertoire of sacred and secular music, ranging from the late Medieval period through to contemporary works, some of which have been written especially for the choir to sing. The choir typically performs three concerts a year, with one of these usually being a larger scale programme with a chamber orchestra and soloists. Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings during term time at Burpham Church, New Inn Lane, Guildford GU4 7HW.

Beare Green and Newdigate Choral Society are looking to recruit a new Music Director, to start in September - auditions will be in early September. Our current MD is moving on following a career move.

John Forsyth MBE, Music Director of Cleveland Philharmonic Choir, has announced his intention to retire in April 2025, and the choir is searching for a new MD to start work in September 2025.

Musical director to rehearse non-auditioned choir and direct two concerts a year. The choir sing a mix of traditional and modern choral music, the choice of which is made by the director and the committee.

The Cobweb Orchestra is a friendly, open-access and multi-award winning amateur orchestra based in the North of England.

We have weekly groups at 9 different locations and organise a range of events across the region throughout the year.

Our Morpeth group is currently looking for a conductor to lead the orchestra there.

Brixham Orpheus Male Voice Choir was founded in 1954. During that time there have been seven Musical Directors, including the present incumbent, Ron Burrington. 

We are seeking someone with understanding and vision to take us into our eighth decade.

Originally formed in the 1860’s by a local manufacturer & enjoying its continued support, the Haverhill Singers has a strong membership including 12 sopranos, 14 altos, 5 basses and 5 tenors.

SOUTHREPPS CHORALE (NORTH NORFOLK) SEEKS NEW MUSICAL DIRECTOR 

Southrepps Chorale is a non-auditioned SATB choir, in Southrepps located mid-way between North Walsham and Cromer in North Norfolk. Founded in 2011 as a community project by current Musical Director, Stephen Richards, it continues to flourish with c. 55 members meeting in Southrepps Village Hall NR11 8NW each Tuesday evening from 7.30pm to 9.15pm. 

The choir is formally constituted and run by chair and committee, in conjunction with the Musical Director who has full control over repertoire and artistic matters. The MD will be assisted by a professional piano accompanist.

The successful candidate will be someone who:
·    Is an experienced choral conductor.
·    Has a clear understanding of vocal technique (particularly with regard to the more mature voice).
·    Has good communication skills and a sense of humour.
·    Has an enthusiasm for and knowledge of music from multi genres.
·    Appreciates that this choir is still a village-based community project that seeks to give an expressive and a collegial experience to all its members regardless of their individual music skill level.
·    Is able to challenge the choir with new ideas and repertoire.
·    Is keen to work in a collaborative manner with the choir and committee.
·    Is able to develop the less-experienced while also engaging the more accomplished.
·    Ideally, has contacts with other professional singers and instrumentalists. 
·    Has had some experience of working with instrumentalists. 
 

Shoreham Oratorio Choir are looking for an accomplished musician who has a strong affinity with classical choral music, to support the continued growth of our choir and develop our performance/vocal skills and confidence.

Our musical director will collaborate with the choir committee on programming and creative direction and will further develop the high standard of musicianship in an inspirational manner which is encouraging for all. 

We are looking for a new choir conductor/ Music Director, to start after summer for a christmas concert, usually mid August
