Conductor/Music Director

The Coventry City of Culture Orchestra is looking for a new conductor.

Having lost our musical director, Sebastian Farrall, very suddenly in a tragic cycling accident, we are determined to carry on making music in his honour and memory. He has left us with a legacy of community music making which is inclusive, joyful and of a high standard and we would love to keep this alive under the guidance of a new conductor.

About our Orchestra

Cranbrook Symphony Orchestra are Seeking to appoint a new Musical Director / Conductor. 

Our current Musical Director is retiring, and we are now seeking a committed and enthusiastic – preferably locally based – MD with experience of conducting an amateur choir, to take us forward and develop our repertoire/musical abilities in a friendly and positive environment. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm in Raunds Library.

The City of Lichfield Concert Band is a full 52 piece National Concert Band Festival Platinum award winning band with a very strong local following - audience figures regularly over 300. We perform approx 10 concerts per year and rehearse weekly on Monday evening in term time in Lichfield.

The Goring & Streatley Concert Band is a community band open to players of all ages and abilities. We currently have around 35 players, and perform around 6 open-air engagements (fetes, regattas, bandstands) in the summer months and two formal concerts a year.  We are seeking an MD to take up the position in late September/early October
