Conductor/Music Director

Our Musical Director who has been with us since the choir’s inception, has decided that it is time to hang up her baton, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, experienced person to take her place.

Having been together for so many years, really strong friendships have been forged within the choir, and we dearly want this wonderful organisation to continue.

Seeking experienced choral conductor/vocal coach as Director of Music for highly successful choral society

Fascinating Rhythm is a fun loving female A cappella chorus who rehearse in South Gloucestershire on a Thursday evening.

Brunel Sinfonia welcome applicants for the role of musical director and conductor. Kindly submit a CV including recent programmes and musical milestones, along with a video link of a recent performance to trustees@brunelsinfonia.org.uk by April 4th 2025. The first phase will be a remote interview with the trustees. Thereafter, the three selected candidates will be invited to conduct one full term (paid) of their choice of programme, following the current system of one from the classic FM top 300, one from the orchestra suggestions and one free choice agreed with the trustees. The final candidate will be chosen based on trustee and orchestra member feedback.

The 3 terms available will be:

• September - November 2025
• January - March 2026
• April - June 2026

Every effort will be made to accommodate candidates’ preferences.

After a very successful and enjoyable 8 years of conducting the East Grinstead Concert Band our Musical Director, Adam Crane, has decided that he will be stepping down from his post at the end of summer 2025.  We wish Adam all the very best for the future and thank him for all he has done with the band under his leadership, bringing the band to new musical heights.

The band wishes to appoint a new Musical Director from September 2025.
