Music Director for non-auditioned 2-term choir, around 50 singers (SATB)

We are eager to find the right Conductor/Musical Director to continue the excellent work of our current MD, who we wish well as he moves on to new career opportunities.
We are a thriving and enthusiastic amateur community orchestra of 50+ playing members with a range of musical experience and ability. Our aim is to offer an enjoyable environment where all musicians feel welcome, challenged, supported and inspired, whatever their level.

The Royal Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra (RTWSO) is seeking a new Music Director/Principal Conductor to take up the post from September 2025.

As a result of the retirement of our long-standing and renowned conductor, Michael Rose, an exciting opportunity has become available to take up the position of Music Director with the Bedfordshire Orchestral Society.Under Michael Rose’s leadership the Society has established a reputation for high quality amateur and semi-professional performances of a wide range of classical music repertoire. The Society comprises two orchestras, the Bedfordshire Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and the Bedford Sinfonia, and in this instance, we are seeking a permanent conductor of the Symphony Orchestra (BSO).

The Loughborough Orchestra is looking for a new musical director for 2024

We are a friendly Community Orchestra which meets in Loughborough on Monday evenings during term time. The orchestra does not audition players but normally expects them to be grade 5 or above. There are strong players in all sections.

We prepare for two concerts each year; one in January and the other in June. We play a variety of standard orchestral repertoire.

We celebrated or centenary in 2017. Over 100 years of community singing with over 70 members. No audition is needed, just a desire to enjoy singing with a friendly group of people. We need a director who is able to work with people with a range on musical ability, to move us all forward but above all, for all to have a good time. 

We rehearse on Monday evenings towards three main concerts. In November/December we usually sing a sacred piece and Christmas music, sharing solos. The Spring concert is our most formal, with a major work and as many instruments as we can afford. In Summer we lighten the mood, often linking with a local primary school and have as much fun as possible, often using multi-media and elements of drama and plenty of surprises.

We are the A Cappella Singers, an accomplished SATB amateur choir of 28 years based in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring Director to maintain and improve the choir’s high standards of music and singing. A new Director would be looking for at least a two-year position, but ideally long-term.

The choir does not just sing a cappella, and performs a wide variety of music, sacred and secular. We usually perform three concerts a year in venues around the area. We rehearse in Langho, nr Clitheroe on Wednesday evenings during term-time.
