Conductor/Music Director

We are looking for a Choir Director to develop and lead the Sheffield Choir through the pilot project. You will lead the choir on a weekly basis from Sheffield Cathedral.  You will have experience and/or an understanding of coproduced projects and working alongside people who live with vulnerabilities in their lives.  You will also be able to work from your own initiative and have confidence in leading alongside members. You will co-lead the choir alongside our Sheffield Choir Manager, who will coordinate a range of non-musical aspects of choir and also lead on delivering approximately two gigs during the pilot. There are also opportunities to lead on community workshops in homelessness services on an ad-hoc basis in order to spread the Choir with No Name love.

Maidenhead Choral Society is a non-auditioned SATB choir of around 30 members. We are looking for a Musical Director to start in January 2025. Our current MD is sadly stepping down after 2years due to a change of work committment. We wish to appoint an enthusiastic  and motivated MD who can help us attract more members and by the music we sing, a lerger audience. We rehearse on Monday evenings from 7.45pm to 9.45pm during term time. Ideally, we are looking for someone based in or arounf East Berkshire to avoid long travelling times to rehearsals.

In May 2025 Epsom Male Voice Choir’s current Musical Director is stepping down after 11 successful years, and the choir is looking for a suitable replacement. (The timing of the appointment will be discussed at interview.)

Voices Anon, an established choir based in Maidenhead is looking for a talented and motivational Conductor/Musical Director to lead and inspire the choir from January 2025. We are an all-inclusive mixed ability, friendly non audition choir of around 80 singers of varied ages.

Westbury & District Choral Society (Westbury Choral) wishes to recruit a new Musical Director from September 2025. The successful candidate will be an experienced, enthusiastic Musical Director who shares our love of great choral music and will bring their own energy, inspiration, and creativity to the choir.

We have a vacancy as MD due to the retirememtn of Martin Bussey who has led the group for over 30 plus years. 

We are recruiting – Lyrical SoNGbirds - MUSICAL DIRECTOR

Members of this lively 24 strong Choir for Upper Voices, most of whom currently are over 60, are drawn from around Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.  We normally sing in 3 or 4 parts.  We meet to rehearse term-time Tuesday 10 am to 12 noon at Kingswood Methodist Church, Wollaton, Nottingham. Our term dates are based around those of Nottinghamshire schools.

Dartford Choral Society is a non-auditioned SATB choir of around 25 people (approximately 8 sopranos, 9 altos, 3 tenors and 5 basses) of mixed age and musical experience/ability, performing a varied repertoire of sacred and secular choral music.

The Society’s year runs from September to June, with rehearsals on Monday evenings and four concerts per year. We are seeking a music director/accompanist to take up the position in January 2025, from our current MD, who is retiring after 40 years’ service.

Just Sing, Bunbury is a mixed ability Community choir looking for a new MD to start by the end of the year. Rehearsals are term-time, Monday evenings in Bunbury School, near Tarporley, Cheshire. The choir has approx 35 singers, the repertoire is mixed, and the role is paid.
