Inverurie Orchestra is a community orchestra (registered charity number SC051922), based in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, comprising amateur and some semi-professional players from Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen city. Membership of the orchestra is circa 48 players. The orchestra, founded in 2007, performs 2-3 concerts a year in and around Inverurie. The Musical Director will be responsible for the programming, preparation and performance of the orchestra’s concerts in conjunction with the orchestra’s committee. In collaboration with the leader, they will also oversee musical and technical development.

Musical Director

The Holme Valley Orchestra, based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, seek to appoint an experienced
Musical Director, to lead rehearsals and concerts as scheduled, programme repertoire accordingly,
and further support our community links.
We are a community amateur orchestra with approximately 40 regular members who meet Wednesday evenings, term time only, performing approximately 3 concerts per year – often more.
The successful candidate will work with the committee and members to promote our core values ofinclusive music-making within the heart of our community, whilst building on the musical progression and development of the orchestra.

Principal Conductor and Music Director

The Principal Conductor is responsible for the overall artistic vision of the orchestra and the preparation and performance of all the orchestra’s concerts in conjunction with the orchestra’s committee. In collaboration with the orchestra’s leader, she or he will also oversee the orchestra’s musical and technical development, seeking to maintain and enhance a high standard of performance.  

Henley Symphony Orchestra aims to provide high-quality music-making at affordable prices and to give local musicians a chance to perform the great classical orchestral repertoire which also appeals to our audience.

It is expected that applicants will have experience in conducting and working with amateur musicians. Henley Symphony Orchestra includes members of varying experience; some are professionally trained, although not full-time performing, musicians.
