Music Director

Music Director required for the friendly, well established Fairford & District Choral Society from January 2024

We are a two term, non auditioning choir with around 50 members, performing concerts around Easter and the end of November  /  early December each year

Your first concert will be on Saturday 13 April 2024 in St Mary's Parish Church Fairford which is also the rehearsal venue

The repertoire is Faure's Requiem and Dvorak's Mass in D for which soloists and an organ accompanist have been engaged

There are normally 12 rehearsals for each concert plus one on the concert day

Our rehearsal accompanist is a professional musician

Required

• Previous Choral and conducting experience
• Active role in planning repertoire and selecting soloists
• Attendance at some Committee Meetings if required
• Regular attendance at rehearsals from 7.30-9.30 pm on a Wednesday evening during term time
• Provide a substitute if unable to attend a rehearsal for any reason
