Description of vacancy:
After changes in her life circumstances our MD is stepping down after 7 years at the helm. Pre pandemic we were around 40 members, performing at two concerts per year (Summer and Christmas) raising money for local charities. Our audiences were loyal and always enjoyed singing along at for the Jingle Bells finale at Christmas.
We are SATB, but with some vacancies post lockdowns, we are a little more SAB. Our membership is around 28-30, still with balance in the sound.
Willing to sing most things, a mix of music readers and non readers, this group is ready for some new direction. Have you got the vim and vigour to lift them back to their former glories? They use COVID mitigations and meet in person on Wednesday nights in Letchworth from 7.30 until 9.30pm. Term dates and remuneration are negotiable with the Chairman. Accompanist on staff, a rather lovely Music teacher from a local school.
Looking to hold audition rehearsals in early January for take over asap.
