Accompanist/Assistant Conductor

Hillingdon Choral Society seeks an accompanist, with the ability of taking the role of Assistant Musical Director. 

We are an all-inclusive and friendly mixed choir of around 60 singers of varied ages and mixed abilities. We meet on Monday evenings from 7.45 to 9:45pm during term time at Ickenham United Reformed Church, Swakeleys Road, Ickenham UB10 8BE and enjoy occasional social events throughout the year.

The Society was founded over 40 years ago. Since then we have enjoyed the continuity of rehearsing and then performing our music in and around Hillingdon Borough.  We also perform in prestigous London venues and over the last 34 years the choir has undertaken 16 successful European concert tours.  During lockdown, the choir met weekly on Zoom and were pleased to perform the music learnt at a recent concert. 

We generally perform three concerts each year, and our repertoire has always been varied and challenging: our planned concerts are Christmas – carols and Night of Miracles (Peterson) and Easter – Gloria (Vivaldi) and St Luke’s Passion (Bach).

We offer a competitive professional rate of pay by negotiation.
