Love Music Board Members

Love Music is looking for board members with skills in the following areas: Legal, HR, Health & Wellbeing.

We are a socially engaged music education charity based in Edinburgh and working across the UK, delivering accessible, participative music projects in communities, schools, and health care settings. Through our projects, communities come together with professional musicians in a professional setting and participate in inspirational music-making. Outcomes for participants include new learning and skills, raised aspirations, enhanced self-esteem and well-being, and lots of fun.

We have delivered exceptional quality music engagement projects on national platforms. Our work has been commissioned by, featured in, and licensed to: St Magnus International Festival; Edinburgh International Festival; Bath International Festival; Town Hall Symphony Hall Birmingham; Opera North; Welsh National Opera; Sound Festival; Sage Gateshead; Royal Northern Sinfonia; Scottish Chamber Orchestra; Usher Hall Edinburgh; Music Network Ireland; Youth Music UK National Festival; Big Big Sing; and Luminate Creative Ageing Festival, amongst others.

We have reached an exciting point in our development where we are planning organisational growth, both in people numbers and in project activity. We aim to strengthen our Board to help guide us through this growth and to meet the particular challenges involved.

Board meetings are held in Edinburgh quarterly, and Board members are committed supporters of our public concerts and events. We welcome applications from people of all ages and backgrounds able to contribute to our work. In particular we are keen to hear from people with skills in the following areas: Legal, HR, Health & Wellbeing.

Please note, this is a voluntary role in which Board members are both directors of the company and trustees of the charity.
